According to the specs, the ethernet should be a Broadcom x. Did you look for other Broadcom drivers? When I latutude to “Show latitude d520 ethernet connections” all I see is the Firewire ” connection. Edit your question to add the results. Ethernet cards are nearly always recognised – maybe you have networking disabled from the desktop network icon?
